Lomography 400 ⤺ Scans + Review
September 30, 2024I was gifted a LomoApparat film camera over the holiday season and was stoked to test out the Lomography line of film stock. So I walked over to Photo Lounge (who developed + scanned the rolls) to grab a 3 pack of Lomography 400 ISO film stock. I got to test it in a variety of settings including low light and here are my favorite photos from those rolls.
Roll 1 - Sakura Cherry Blossom Festival
Roll 2 - Sakura Cherry Blossom Festival - Part Two
I was really stoked on getting the Lomography 400 film over to the Cherry Blossom Festival. I did not get to catch the live performances or demonstrations but took the opportunity to stray towards the festival grounds and greenhouse exhibitions. This is where the paid workshops were held in and the chance to take out the lens attachments were really cool. I really want to try each of them out and actually document which lens attachments were which photos. Because I think that would make for a good review video. I actually thought about going for a review video of the Lomography but wanted to actually sit with it and use the camera and a variety of film stock a bit more.
Roll 3 - Downtown Philadelphia + Buddhist Temple
I don’t know how I did it but managed to either get the camera out on an overcast day or a brilliant sunny day. There was no in between. I really like how the film stock picked up on all the varying colors at the Buddhist Temple (located in Voorhees, NJ) and then the colors of the skyscrapers in Downtown Philadelphia. This roll also pushed me to photograph more flowers and every time I saw a reflective surface. I would photograph myself in it. Thus creating a self portrait challenge in the process. I do want to get a bunch more film stock and test the elements of the autumn season with this camera.
No better place to grab more film stock and get your photos developed then at Photo Lounge which is my go-to film shop in Center City. It’s tucked away in an old building in Rittenhouse and hosts a lot of film discussions and events. Follow their IG: @myphotolounge for all the latest updates.
